Hollywood Road Race - 2017 Hot Wheels Race

The Hollywood Road Race is a theme race where the cars must be a car from a movie or TV show.  This race will be run on the Thunder Road track. Check out a clip of the track below.



Rules For The Hollywood Road Race


The Hollywood Road Race will be part of the 2017 points series, so points will be awarded for place to go towards a racers 2017 points total.

Races will be videoed and posted online.

Cars due Feb 18, 2017.  Racing will start the following week.

Local and Mail-in cars are welcome.  Mail-in cars should be sent with return postage if the racer wants them back.  Mail-in cars should also be accompanied with an entry form.

Each racer may enter up to 3 cars. There will be a $1 entrance fee per car.  If you are a member of the Diecast 64 club the entrance fee will be waived for yourself, friends, and family, for up to 6 cars.

  • Cars can be any brand 1/64 scale cars.
  • Cars can be modified or stock.
  • Any wheels are allowed.
  • Max weight 57 grams
  • Max length 4 inches
  • Max height 2.5 inches
  • Width - must fit on Hot Wheels orange track.
  • Cars must be a car from a movie or TV show.  Cars cannot be a character car or cars that represent movies or shows, but the actual car in the movie or show. You can enter cars that the manufacturers made to represent cars in movies or TV or you can modify and paint your own.  If you modify and paint your own, it doesn't have to be the exact year, make, model, or wheels, but should be close. Do your best to replicate the paint job, but it doesn't have to be perfect.
When you send your cars include the movie or show that it is from.

Points will be awarded as follows:
10 points for 1st place
9 points for 2nd place
8 points for 3rd place
7 points for 4th place
6 points for 5th place
5 points for 6th place
4 points for 7th place
3 points for 8 place
2 points for 9 place
1 point for 10th place on down

Only the top finishing car will score points toward the racers 2017 Season point total. While a racers other cars will not score any points for them, it could cause another racer to not score as many points. ie if a racer has a 1st place car and a 2nd place car, they will only score 10 points towards their point total for the first place car.  Nobody will get 9 points for second place.  The 3rd place finisher will get 8 points.
